National Pension Schemes

1. Pradhan Mantri Vaya Vandana Yojana (PMVVY):

   • A pension scheme for senior citizens (60 years and above) that provides an assured return of 8% per annum for 10 years.

2. Atal Pension Yojana (APY):

   • A social security scheme aimed at workers in the unorganized sector, offering a minimum guaranteed pension of ₹1,000 to ₹5,000 per month after the age of 60, depending on the contribution.

3. Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension Scheme (IGNOAPS):

   • Part of the National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP), it provides a monthly pension to BPL individuals aged 60 years and above.

4. Indira Gandhi National Widow Pension Scheme (IGNWPS):

   • Provides financial assistance to widows aged 40-59 years belonging to BPL families.

5. Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension Scheme (IGNDPS):

   • Offers a monthly pension to disabled individuals aged 18 years and above from BPL families.

6. National Family Benefit Scheme (NFBS):

   • Provides a lump sum assistance of ₹20,000 to families below the poverty line, in case of the death of the primary breadwinner.
